Cheat Sheets for Silver Reed Knitting machines

I mentioned on Ravelry that I had had a tough time memorizing the Silver Reed settings.  I am a dyed in the wool Brother lover, and the Silver Reed seemed pretty foreign to me.   So I bought a 3" x 5" card stock spiral notebook to write down in simple terms what the steps were for the most used settings.  This way I didn't have to keep thumbing through the manual.  Feel free to use these however you wish.  Right click, copy and paste into an image processing program (like PAINT, for PC users).  Hope it helps you out.  (If hard to read, click on the image and it should enlarge.)

Thank you for the great idea and for the stitch samples. I use this method for hand knitting, never thought about using it for machine knitting!

Thank you for the cheat sheets. I have copied them and have them hanging by my SK860. Now if I could only figure out how to do some of those!

HI Linda,
Obviously I didn't think the 860 was easy either or I wouldn't have made up the cheat sheets. Just used to the Brother, I guess. Hope they help you along!

I only have a SilverReed :-) So, I'm very happy with your cheat sheets. I labelled the manuals and wrote down hours of you tube clips, but this is so much easier! thank you Muriel

Hope this doesn't post twice, Anyway,
I have an SK280 Silver Reed and Srp60N ribber. I've been trying to learn to make a blanket by Diana Sullivan called the Lilac Baby blanket it is done in English rib, she uses a Brother do I'm confused about how to set my machine, she calls for the main bed to tuck on one side for 13 rows then you switch to the ribber tucking on the other side for 13 rows, Is the TUCK card how I would set my machine to tuck only on one side?? (hoping so)
Thanks so much

I don't have Diana's pattern, but from your description, it seems like you would do as you say. I suspect the manual would help you out here. It's 4 rooms away and I'm too lazy to go check. It's always a good idea to try as you think it should be on a small swatch. Write down what you did. If it doesn't work, try something else. Maybe someone else will chime in here. I sure am no expert with the SR's. Good luck to you. I bet it will be yummy when you get it going.
