I've been knitting more headbands, this time with a teddy bear motif. Added a little embroidered bow for interest. I'm trying to build up some stock to enter a craft fair in November. It seems like a long time away, but it takes a long time to get enough things made to be worth it. These will be for toddlers and young girls. I have a few other ideas for motif's, so it doesn't get totally boring knitting the same thing over and over. The motifs need to fit in a 36 (or so) row repeat, so lots of things work.
I purchased some "grab bag" yarn from Cindy (Cindy's Kitting Room) in Princeton. Was perfect for this project because I like to have a variety of colors, but I don't need a lot of any one color. I found some fuzzy yarn in my stash that works well for the teddy bears and wouldn't be much use for anything else. It was one of those cones that I couldn't bring myself to throw away so I'm glad I found a use for it. Fuzzy bears are good.
My pattern, Headband with Crown, is for sale if you're interested.
