Manly Midgauge Footies
I put this pattern up on Ravelry, but am having a hard time figuring out how to make a Ravelry download.
I have read the help files, but need to try again when I have a good amount of patience. Actually, a tutor siting by my side would be nice. Not gonna happen. Anyway, I'm offering this pattern for $4.00. Click on the Buy Now button and I will email you the pdf file. It's really a dandy pattern---dependable, easy, fast and good looking. I've made these for the husband (always has cold feet) and some for charity. They're manly enough, I'd say.

Mar--your products are really wonderful, clever and useful.
Are these made in the round or flat and sewn up? I am just getting to grips with the machine (as you know!) but don't think I'll be able to knit in the round as a russel lever is broken.
Thanks.
Hi Jean,
They are knit flat and sewn up. You need to be able to have hold position to shortrow the heel and toe.

What type/size yarn do you recommend for this pattern? Does the pattern work for shoe size 14? My husband's feet froze as a teen and they bother him alot. I have trouble knitting for his size and he doesn't like thick crocheted slippers on his once broken ankles. :o(
Hi Alysha,
I used two strands of sock yarn on a midgauge. Unfortunately there's no one formula that works for everyone. This pattern fits men's shoe size 10-11. The sock knits up really fast. What you need to do is knit your best guess, try it on his foot, then adjust from there (add/subtract stitches and rows). There's no pattern that will fit everyone, but fortunately you won't have lost much knitting time.
Can these be done on a bro. 260
Anne
Hi Anne, you can as long as you use yarn that gets the same gauge.
